EDUCATION:
Mr. Wormald is a graduate of Niagara District Secondary School
(NDSS) in
Niagara-on-the-Lake. He obtained an Honors BA from Brock University
in 1970. He was the recipient of Brock University's first male athlete
of the year award in 1970. He proceeded to law school
at Queen's University, where he obtained an LLB in 1973.
EXPERIENCE:
Mr. Wormald was an associate at the firm of Wilson, Miller,
Fullerton, Partington, Robins & Abbey before entering into a
partnership in the firm of Partington, Abbey & Wormald and, when Robert
J. Abbey was appointed a Judge, the firm of Partington, Hugill &
Wormald. He then joined the firm of Lancaster, Mix & Welch, (now
Lancaster, Brooks & Welch) where he has been a partner since 1985.
Mr. Wormald's experience with Civil Litigation includes extensive
and ongoing involvement in all court levels, including Superior Court
of Justice, and Ontario Court of Appeal.
His caseload and experience includes commercial, contracts,
construction lien, and family law (both jury and non-jury cases).
Involvement in criminal litigation includes both the Ontario Court
of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice. He has also assisted as
a Federal Prosecutor with respect to bankruptcy, customs and
immigration.
