Growing up in the Niagara Region, Yar has built strong ties to his community and possesses a passion for the people and the region where he calls home. Rooted in the Ukrainian community, Yar is fluent in the Ukrainian language.  Since his call in June of 2010, Yar’s  has been focusing his practice on matters of family law, civil litigation, wills and estate matters.

Yar completed both his undergraduate degree (first class standing) and a Masters degree in Political Science at Brock University. Yar completed his LL.B at the University of Ottawa  and articled with Lancaster, Brooks & Welch LLP. Yar is a successful negotiator and works diligently for his clients to obtain optimal results.
